The Meeting Room
Introduction
Located within the Broadwalk Shopping Centre, The Meeting Room is a free-to-use community space located within the Broadwalk Centre. It is available for local charities, community groups and volunteers to use for a range of initiatives, activities or events.
The Meeting Room provides a safe and welcoming space for local charities, community groups and organisations to use for activities that the benefit the people of Edgware.
Whether you are part of a charity or community group, or running a community initiative or event in Edgware, the Meeting Room is a space for you to use completely free of charge.
How to book
The Meeting Room must be booked in advance, and is available to book in two timeslots each day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, as below:
- Monday – Friday
- 09:00 – 13:00
- 14:00 – 18:00
- Saturday
- 09:00 – 13:00
- 13:30 – 17:30
- Sunday
- 11:00 – 13:30
- 14:00 – 16:30

- Booking request information (use this section to provide us with as much information as possible regarding the nature of your booking)
To complete your booking, please also provide the following documentation:
- Valid Public Liability Insurance
- Risk assessment form

Conditions of use
To ensure the Meeting Room is maintained and kept safe and presentable, we do ask for all users to acknowledge and abide by the terms of use:
- The room will be unlocked by centre management ahead of use and users must ensure it is locked by centre management when leaving
- No food is brought into the area
- Under 16s are to be accompanied by an adult
- The room is left in the same condition it is found
- There must be no equipment left in the Meeting Room after use; the Broadwalk Centre does not take responsibility for left items
- No naked flames or flammable substances should be used
- Please do not use the kitchen area for storage; this must be kept clear at all times
- No more than 40 people in the room at any one time
- All electrical appliances used in the Meeting Room should have up to date PAT certificates
We can’t wait to see people come together in this community space, as we create something new in Edgware’s journey.
*please note, in order to book The Meeting Room, we will need the following from yourself:
- Valid PLI License
- Risk Assessment Form (we can provide for you to complete)
- Access Certificate (this will be shared with you upon booking)
