On Saturday 8th April, The Broadwalk centre held a mouth-wateringly tasty workshop for children in Edgware in celebration of the start of the Easter school holidays.
Throughout the day the centre's younger shoppers with a sweet tooth were treated with the opportunity to create their very own Easter cupcakes. They got to choose from a selection of cupcake bases, icing and decorations and, after they finished their delicious creations, were able to take their cake away with them to eat at home.
The day marked the first of two Easter school holiday events at The Broadwalk Centre as next weekend, on Saturday 15th April, children will have the opportunity to meet one of their favourite nursery rhyme characters, Humpty Dumpty.
Humpty Dumpty will be appearing at the centre to meet with youngsters on the 15th between 11am and 4pm and is will be than happy to pose for photographs with little companions.
Angela Brooks, Centre Manager at The Broadwalk Centre, commented:
'Our Easter cupcake workshop was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many local children and their families taking part. We pride ourselves on providing free entertainment for our local community members, especially during the school holidays, as the cost of activities can soon mount up and be expensive for parents. I hope that our younger shoppers are now looking forward to the visit from Humpty Dumpty next weekend."
