The Broadwalk Shopping Centre is delighted to announce that the winner of its 'In Edgware We Care' campaign – which was run in partnership with The Times Series – is local charity Livability.
The 'In Edgware We Care' campaign aims to support local community groups and organisations by offering them a financial helping hand. With an overwhelming amount of entries Livability, a national Christian disability and community engagement charity, has been voted as the winner following a public poll through The Times Series.
On Monday 12th September, Aaron Tillyer, Community Fundraising Officer at Livability was presented with £500 in vouchers courtesy of The Works. The vouchers will be used to start an in-house library at Livability's Brookside House providing residents with much-needed reading material.
Angela Brooks, Centre Manager at The Broadwalk Centre, commented:
"We were delighted to see Livability chosen as the winners of our 'In Edgware We Care' campaign. The work they do is truly fantastic and I expect the new library will be a welcomed addition to the charity's existing provision."
Diane Cannas, Registered Manager for Brookside House, added:
"On behalf of everyone here at the Brookside House centre I would like to say a huge thank you to those who voted for us and to Aaron for nominating the centre. We have been in desperate need for a variety of arts and crafts as well as reading material and the vouchers will help us pick something for every resident."
