Edgware celebrates seasonal extravaganza

On Thursday 27th October hundreds of Edgware children and their families took part in the town's free annual seasonal extravaganza courtesy of The Broadwalk Centre, the Edgware Town Team and Edgware Safer Neighbourhoods.

Throughout the day youngsters were invited to take part in the centre's free make and take workshops where they were given the opportunity to decorate their own storybook character themed crafts just in time to decorate their houses for Halloween.

Children were also invited to take part in the town's fancy dress treasure hunt where they were encouraged to dress up as their favourite storybook character and search for hidden clues located in the shopping centre and on Station Road collecting treats along the way. Participants then headed back to The Broadwalk Centre where they were treated to a special 'Wacky Wizard' show with special guest Captain Calamity, who presented the winners of the fancy dress competition with their prizes.

Angela Brooks, Centre Manager at The Broadwalk Centre, commented:

"The Edgware town's seasonal extravaganza is always a huge success and it was fantastic to be able to team up with the Edgware Town Team and Edgware Safer Neighbourhoods again to provide free entertainment for the local community. We were thrilled with how many people turned up to take part in our exciting fancy dress treasure hunt and we are already looking forward to hosting next year's spectacular!"
